A fragment of a copper-alloy late Iron Age brooch of a possible Kragenfibel rosette type (Mackreth, 2011, pg 28). It is very corroded, making typogology difficult. The wing shape suggests a coil spring, although missing, and the bow seems to have a seperate plate, which is mostly corroded away. It is decorated with longnitudinal lines. The reverse is flat, with a small D shaped bow. It appears similar to examples in Mackreth, 2011, pg 19, plate 16, 5799, 5807, 13755 Length: 28.86mm Width: 18.57mm Weight: 5.80g

A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman Colchester Derivative Hinged Pin brooch dating to circa AD 43-120. Only the head and part of the bow survive. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged bow brooch. Missing part of the pin due to old breaks. T-shaped in plan, the wings are cylindrical in form folded to encase the separately cast copperr-alloy axis bar, with a central rectangular slot through which the now missing pin would have hinged. They are decorated on their front faces with pairs of moulded vertical grooves at the ends of the wings. An incomplete bow and fantail brooch; with a hinged pin about AD 85-140. It can be classified as Mackreth TR 4.1b2. The brooch is broken in two, across the top of the central rectangle. From the head a small circular integral head loop extends. The wings are decorated with transverse grooves at the terminus.The upper bow is flat-backed with a semi-circular cross-section. An incomplete copper alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch. The brooch is moulded in the form of a water fowl with closed wings. The impression of wings is created by two paralell incised grooves running running the length of the centre of the bird's back.  The tail is squared and pierced with a small, off-centre, circular hole. The neck extends upwards from the bird's breast and the curves round towards the head. A complete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged brooch. It has moulded wings and grooves on the bow, complete except for the pin. The wings have incised five transverse lines with a pronounced central humped bow. The flat-backed bow has two grooves either side of the central band which has a moulded groove at the top. A complete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cruciform brooch detachable side knob. It is half round, with a slot and hole for pin on the base. It is semi-oval in cross section. It has a lozenge shaped dome, tapering into a waist before terminating in the base. Due to its half round shape, it conforms to Cruciform Brooch Phase B, dating to 475-550AD (Martin, 2015, pg 128).
