a copper alloy fitting, possibly a lamp bracket of medieval or later date. It is a curved metal strip, rectangular in section, with a loop at one end and a single rivet hole at the other. The loop terminal has been formed by bending the strip back on itself and fixing with solder, forming a loop of oval shape, 26.31mm x 12.6mm. The object is 62.56mm in length and 6.91mm in width. The strip varies in thickness between 2.14mm for the loop, 3.9mm where the strip is soldered, and 2.47mm at the rivet-hole terminal. It weighs 11.95g.
