An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative double pierced lug bow brooch. It is missing its pin due to old breaks but is otherwise complete. The wings are semi-cylindrical in form, undecorated and separated at their centre by an integrally cast double pierced lug. This holds in place a copper-alloy axis bar, spring chord and spring of eight coils, the pin terminating in old breaks at the spring. An incomplete and large Roman Colchester bow brooch. It is missing part of the spring, pin and the outer edges of the catchplate due to old breaks. The wings are flat, rectangular in form and undecorated. They are separated at their centre by an integrally cast chord hook that is D-shaped in section and folds forwards onto the head of the bow where it has a transverse collar and flattened circular terminal.
