Description: A fragment of a silver post-medieval bodkin. The surviving section of the main body is rectangular in cross-section and an hourglass-shaped terminal projects from its outer end. There is a rectangular hole extending inwards from behind the lower break and above this a solid section, either face of which is decorated with two incised transverse lines followed by an outwards facing V-shape. Description: An incomplete silver couching needle or bodkin dating to the Post-Medieval period. Most of the head is missing, which demonstrates the remains of a rectangular slot at its midpoint. The shaft is circular in section (though bent somewhat in post-depositional damage), tapering slightly along its length to the terminal end of the object, where there is an acorn-shaped terminal. Post-medieval silver bodkin or headdress pin. Rectangular-sectioned, tapering to the blunt point, broken across the rectangular slot at the upper end, the terminal missing. Decorated alike on both faces with two transverse lines below the slot from the lower of which multiple longitudinal engraved lines descend, lengthening towards the centre. An incomplete cast copper-alloy bodkin of Post-medieval date. It is rectangular in shape and in section and has openings, one circular, the other longitudinal. The circular opening is within an oval knop on the end of the object. The other end is missing due to old breaks. At the top end of the longitudinal opening there is a transverse engraved line on both sides of the bodkin. At the opposite end is a slight narrowing of the shaft. It measures 37.67mm in length, 4.93mm in width, 1.72mm in thickness and weighs 1.68g.

A silver bodkin of Post-medieval date. It has a circular ear scoop at one end, then a collar decorated with vertical lines. Below this is a solid rectangular shaped shaft which is flat in section. There is a rectangular longitudinal hole down the length of the shaft which ends in a point. It measures 35.92mm in length, 5.67mm in width, 1.35mm in thickness and weighs 1.66g.

A complete post-medieval silver bodkin with two openings, one circular, the other longitudinal. At each end of the longitudinal opening there is an area of cross-hatched engraving, additional engraving of alternate diagonal lines and dots edge the opening. On the other side of the bodkin is the same engraving but with the addition of the initials MW next to the smaller opening and a star at the opposite end of the longitudinal opening. A fragment of a silver bodkin, only one terminal end survives. This terminal has a circular ear scoop at its tip and then a perforated tear-drop shaped hole, below this is the solid silver rectangular-shaped shaft and then a longitudinal rectangular opening, which is now incomplete.

Description: An incomplete post medieval sliver incomplete dress-pin of the bodkin type. The tip of this bodkin is now missing due to old breaks. The shaft is flat and rectangular in shape there is a small circular loop at the complete terminal end for suspension, below this the shaft is waisted with decorative grooves and there is then a rectangular perforation.
