Description: A complete gold and glass medieval finger ring. It has a D-shaped hoop with a rectangular cross-section and the phrase 'AVE: MARIA: GRACIA' inscribed around the outside. The shoulders have small raised quatrefoils on their outer edges. Behind this, the outer face of the shoulders is decorated with fine transverse grooves. The bezel is kite-shaped and is set with a blue stone, probably glass. It survives in excellent condition.
