Reverse: 62•M•B•F•ET•H•REX•F•D•B•ET•L•D•S•RIAT•ET•E•17; Crowned garnished shield with Arms of England, Scotland, Ireland and Hanover. Spink no. 3741. This coin has been modified into a love token, having been bent into a shallow 'S' shape.

A gold uninscribed quarter-stater struck for the Eastern Region/Catavellaunii, dating c. 60-20 BC, Rudd's 'Harlow Wheel' type. Obverse: stylised wreath with pellet-in-ring at centre quartering coin, three 'cloaks' in one angle, mask motifs made up of crescents in other three. Reverse: horse running right, 'cogwheel sun' between legs, pellet-in-ring and annulet motifs around horse's hindquarters, 'wheel' motif above. As ABC, p. 124, no. 2463; Hobbs nos. 365-366. This is one of only a few examples of this type recorded through the PAS, see also BUC-336A21, NARC273.

Description: An incomplete gold finger ring dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. This is a stirrup type ring, demonstrating a rectangular-sectioned flattened hoop and shoulders that extend to the bezel, which is constricted and thinner with a plano-convex section. In the apex of the latter is a recessed circular hollow which presumably would have originally accommodated a stone or gem setting (though this is now missing). A milled gold half-escudo (800 reis) struck for John V (Joao V) of Portugal, dating to 1736 (dated on coin). The edges of the coin have been bent outwards slightly so it now appears slightly 'S' shaped in profile, possibly indicating its modification into a love-token.
