Description: An early medieval gold and garnet stud. It is circular in shape, consisting of a sheet gold back-plate to the outer face of which has been soldered a central framework of three triangular cells, each made from strips of gold sheet positioned vertically, all surrounded by a border of sheet metal followed by two rings of beaded wire. Gold sheet mount with applied filigree and granulation ornament on the upper surface. The sheet is an irregular discoid shape which flares slightly on one side to incorporate space for a pierced hole, probably for attachment. The remains of at least two more pierced holes survive around the edge of the sheet, spaced at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock (as photographed). An incomplete gold and enamel early medieval mount inlaid with cloisonné enamel. It is quatrefoil in shape with a circular hole through the centre. There is a raised rim around the outer edge and the hole leaving a recessed area within. This is separated into cells with gold wire, which are each filled with different shade of enamel. Long, branch-like 'fleur-de-lis' style cells extend into each of the four lobes, two filled with dark blue and two with yellow enamel. Description: An incomplete gold and cloisonné garnet mount in the form of the upper body of a bird of prey in profile looking left, now slightly crushed and distorted. The bird has a curving pointed beak, a rounded head and waisted neck. The mount was made from a gold backplate, with beaded-wire filigree soldered around its edge so that it is visible from both front and reverse. Description: An incomplete gold probable Anglo-Saxon possible mount. It is missing one terminal end and the other survives but is now detached from the main surviving body of the object. This probable mount is an elongated oval in shape and made from sheet gold the front face of which has been decorated with applied filigree and gems, probably garnets, which have oval settings. Description: A small gold terminal or mount which could possibly be Anglo-Saxon in date. It is cylindrical in shape and hollow, it is now distorted due to damage and the inside is filled with dirt. The gold cylinder is decorated with delicate filigree, plain strands are attached to the upper and lower edges. Between these there are tiny beaded wire strands which are arranged in overlapping knot-like motifs with knops in their centres. Surrounding and between these there are tiny beaded wire annulets.

Description: A gold and garnet mount of probable 7th century date. The mount is circular in shape and consists of a circular cabochon garnet mounted onto separate gold sheet back plates. An inner back plate can be seen through an irregular hole in the centre of the outer one. Soldered to the outer back plate is the retaining collar for the garnet, which has a double filigree border or trim, the outer filigree being slightly larger than the inner one.

Early-medieval continental enamelled gold mount from Suffolk (2004 T141) On a gold base is soldered a round box which holds in its field the enamelled decoration. The seam is covered by a filigree wire. The design is achieved by means of large cloisons (cells) made up of continuous ribbons of thin gold sheet, which hold the enamel. The visible upper surface of the cloison walls, economically, draws the design itself.
