An incomplete gold finger ring (Henig II/ Guiraud type 2A) of Roman date (c. 43-200).  Description: The ring is broken at the narrowest part of the hoop, opposite the bezel, and is misshapen. The hoop is pointed oval in cross section, thickening and widening gradually towards the shoulders which merge to create the bezel. The bezel has an oval recess for a now missing setting. Description: A gold finger-ring of late Roman date, c. AD 200-400, which has been squashed almost flat. The bezel has an oval collet for the oval intaglio (now missing). The setting has a border around it formed of a narrow projecting flange decorated with a ‘rope’ design. Description: A gold finger ring of Roman date with set intaglio. The ring is Henig type V/ Guiraud type 4e characterised by its wide, flattened hoop and rectangular bezel and dates to the second or third century. The shoulders of the hoop are decorated with ten applied globules of gold arranged in triangles and intended to represent bunches of grapes. A small Roman gold finger-ring, the hoop and bezel slightly distorted. The hoop is made from a slender gold wire, milled on the inner face, smooth on the outer. The tiny bezel comprises a neatly-formed gold box setting, with a pair of gold grains fused to each side. The tiny stone is of a creamy colour. The ring is Henig's Type IV. Description: A complete but squashed gold finger ring of earlier Roman date. The 'D' sectioned hoop is somewhat slender and has been (deliberately?) broken at its base, the two ends subsequently folded in on each other. The shoulders are plain, expanding into an oval bezel at their apex. The latter is decorated with the faint incised design of a palm frond, but is otherwise plain. M. Henig, Corpus of Roman Engraved Gemstones from British Sites, BAR 8 (1974), ii, 79, no. 581, and pl. XVIII, described and illustrated the inset of the gold ring; and pl. XLI Series B included a view of the hoard, with pot and gold ring, in Ipswich Museum. The description ran: "Figure standing towards the front, very probably Mars or some other deity was intended, but the body has been gouged away (? deliberate defacement by a Christian owner). A complete gold object which may have functioned as a finger ring or some sort of mount. The object is now distorted but is formed of a band of gold, one third of which is rectangular and flat in section with a central longitudinal groove with straight vertical tiny grooves across this.
