A finger ring examined under the Treasure Act by the British Museum. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate gold content for the ring of 50% and silver content of approximately 47%; it weighs 4.78 grams. Description: A gold cross reliquary pendant, with surviving back-plate. The front face of the cross is engraved with a Crucifixion. Areas of deep engraving above and on either side arm would originally have held enamel. The reverse is engraved on each arm with a flower and foliage, and with a small cross in the centre. A gold finger ring of uncertain date. It has a plain circular band that is sub-circular in section with a flat inner edge. The inner edge has several indentations and pock marks, presumably caused during production, but apparently no maker's marks or hallmarks. The ring measures 17.36mm in internal diameter, 22.84mm in external diameter, and weighs 8.58g. This plain gold ring is a beach find from close to a known Roman site. Small, roughly hemispherical, gold droplet with rounded upper surface and flattish lumpy reverse. The surface is pitted all over. The diameter varies from c. 6 to c. 7 mm and the thickness is c. 4 mm at most. This droplet is undatable; although there is no particular reason to believe that it is over 300 years old, an ancient origin is possible and so it has been recorded.

A complete but distorted gold probable finger ring. Consisting of a simple hoop with a rectangular section. The outer face is smooth however in one area there are tiny traces of possible vertical grooves, these may be original decoration or due to damage/wear, they are extremely faint. Discussion: This finger ring is very undiagnostic and could possibly be Roman or later in date, but it is impossible to certify that it was deposited prior to 1708 as stipulated in the Treasure Act.
