A gold Kupang of Queen Taj al-'Alam Safiat al-din Shah from Aceh, Sumatra dating to c.1641-1675 AD. Nicholas Rhodes (Secretary General of the Oriental Numismatic Society; pers. comm. via John Naylor PAS Finds Advisor) notes that this is one of the more common Acenese gold coins and should have a gold fineness of about 60%, it is also a little under the standard weight for this issue of 0.59g.

A gold Scottish 'Sword and Sceptre Piece' of James VI (James I of England), 8th coinage, dated to 1601 AD. The coin has been bent at right angles due to post-depositional damage. Seaby, 1984: no. 5460.
