Description: An incomplete gold finger ring dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. This is a stirrup type ring, demonstrating a rectangular-sectioned flattened hoop and shoulders that extend to the bezel, which is constricted and thinner with a plano-convex section. In the apex of the latter is a recessed circular hollow which presumably would have originally accommodated a stone or gem setting (though this is now missing). Description: A complete gold and glass medieval finger ring. It has a D-shaped hoop with a rectangular cross-section and the phrase 'AVE: MARIA: GRACIA' inscribed around the outside. Description: A complete gold and gemstone late medieval to early post-medieval finger ring. It has an oval bezel with four curved cusps surrounding it and is set with a pinkish-red uncut natural stone, probably a ruby. A gold annular brooch dating to the Medieval period. The frame is circular in plan and 'D' shaped in section (flat back, curving front) with two opposed oval collets which taper towards the top, both now empty but once would have contained a cabochon stone. Description: A complete medieval gold finger ring. The hoop is an oval-sectioned band which flares slightly at the shoulders. The bezel is lozenge-shaped in profile and oval in plan; it stands proud of the hoop and contains a dark red gem, probably a garnet. Discussion: This finger ring is similar to another example from Kington St Michael, Wiltshire (2003 T326) (Treasure annual report 2003, 102, no 169). Dimensions: 22.80mm in external diameter and 19.41mm internally, 3.66g in weight.
