A retouched tertiary flint flake of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date, c.4000-c.1601 BC, possibly used as a point or borer. The flint is made from a mottled light brown to grey coloured tertiary flake with a matt patina. It is sub-triangular in shape. There is flaking and retouch present along two edges of the dorsal side and a clear flake scar ridge. The ventral side is flat apart from a clear bulb of percussion and faint ripples from hard striking. Measurements : Length 36.04mm, Width 20.13mm, Thickness 5.95mm and Weight 3.5g

The ventral face has a small bulb of percussion and well defined conchoidal ripples on the ventral face only following hard hammer knapping. A small flake has been removed from two edges on the ventral face and one long edge on the dorsal face.
