Harness pendant consisting of an octofoil arrangement of sub-circular lobes around a larger central circular field. One of the outer lobes extends into a pierced suspension loop and a copper-alloy rivet is driven through the centre of the central plate for added security during attachment. Each of the periphery lobes are decorated with areas of sunken gilding to give a leaf-like appearance. The central field has a central rosette motif highlighted with gilding, its leaves divide up an outer border of eight sunken semi-circular fields, each inlaid with blue champleve enamel. The back …

Terminal end of weighing arm in the form of a flat strip of metal approx. 10mm wide and 3.5mm thick. The strip is accompanied by three circular apertures; one placed centrally through the metal at the rounded terminal and the others within oval lugs which protrude from either side of the arm. The latter are associated with the corroded remains of iron rivets. The holes would have originally suspended the scale-pan and counterweights.

Two fragments of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Head-plate fragment has top and side knops cast with brooch (one missing), plano-convex in section, domed in outline with multiple collars; trapezoidal head-plate with worn rectangular wings; inward facing triangular punch-marks at edges of head-plate central panel; reverse retains hinge with iron corrosion from pin.
