A sherd from the body of an early Bronze Age vessel, dating to the period c.2350-c.1200 BC. Hard, coarse fabric containing plentiful poorly sorted quartz pieces (<2mm). The outer surface and core are an oxidised orange-red colour while the inner surface is a lighter grey. The outer surface is decorated with bands of three and two parallel lines of small square indentations. Thirty-nine sherds of Iron Age hand-built flint gritted pottery, all body apart from two flat basal, all reduced, many with the external or both surfaces oxidised. The density and sorting of the inclusions are variable, as are their sizes, the largest being c.4mm across, most much smaller. Weight 217g. 8th century BC - mid 1st century AD.

A rim sherd of a wheel-thrown ceramic Greyware jar or bowl of Roman date, circa AD100 - 300. The fabric is dark blackish-grey in colour with a hard and gritty texture and black burnished outer surface. Abundant inclusions of mica are present giving a speckled appearance within the fabric. The fragment has a thick beaded rim. The fragment is 113.2mm long, 41.39mm wide, Rim 14.27mm thick, body 5.51mm thick, and weighs 52.7g. Overall diameter: 18cm (projected using rim chart); approx.20% of rim remaining.
