A sherd of Post-Medieval stoneware. It is a bodysherd most likely from a Frechen jug, decorated with a moulded, armorial pattern with a mid-brown glaze. The decoration includes a stylised crown beneath which is the top of a square-topped shield with central vertical line, on either side of which are the upright curling tails of lions, back to back. The left side is missing, due to old breaks, and a lion rampant is depicted on the right-hand panel. An incomplete fired clay/pottery 'chicken feeder' of Post-Medieval date. It has a flat base that is roughly oval shaped in form but missing its outer edges due to old breaks. This is formed from a well-refined clay that has some grog tempering, is an orange/brown colour and has fired grey at the core. On the front face of the object are a series of three surviving, and probably a fourth, projecting circumferential rings that divide the surface into four deep circular troughs into which grain or water may have been placed. It has an orange/pink fabric with sandy inclusions and traces of a poorly preserved glaze on the exterior as well as part of possible stamped decoration. The sherd measures 21.68mm in length, 17.78mm in width, 5.68mm in thickness, and weighs 2.59g. This sherd is of probable later Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.1400-1600 AD.
