An incomplete probable Roman ceramic tile dating to circa AD 43-410.It has a mid-ornage hard sandy fabric with abundant sub-oval white inclusions <2mm. The flat base is of the extant piece is decorated with three longitudinal grooves at one edge which are met by eight oblique grooves. The front face has a raised outer border.

An incomplete ceramic fragment of a roof tile, most likely daying from the Medieval to Post Medieval period with the possibility of it being of Roman date (AD 43 - 1700). The tile is 17.35mm thick with a shallow arch in profile, the top surface is smooth while the underside is very rough. The surfaces and the core are dark orange to red in colour. The fabric has some mica or quartz inclusions.

A fragment of late medieval to post medieval glazed ridge tile. The fragment comes from the upper part of the tile. It is triangular in cross-section with a concave underside and an incomplete rectangular crest running along the centre of the upper edge. The frabric is coarse, oxidised red-orange in colour and has an orange-brown glaze with darker streaks running through it.

The group consists 17 small to large size fragments, of which five are pieces of tegula, four imbrex, six combed hypocaust 'box flue' fragments and two indeterminate smaller pieces. Two fragments of ceramic tile dating to the Roman period, c. 43-410 AD. The first, a fragment of a box-flue hypocast tile, with broken edges and a combed design on its upper face.Both demonstrate hard-fired bright orange fabrics with variable inclusions, mostly of quartz. Dimensions: 83.17mm long, 65.54mm wide, 20.09mm thick at midpoint. Weight: 144.53g. The second, a fragment of a tegula-type rooftile consisting one edge and part of the raised flange, 'L' shaped in section and mould-made. Dimensions:140.94mm long, 87.36mm wide, 18.65mm thick at midpoint. Weight: 431g.

A large section of a tegula type rooftile dating to the Roman period, c. 43-410 AD. The fragment consists around 25% of the original tile, demonstrating the outer body and part of the raised edge. Demonstrating a high-fired bright orange fabric, the fragment is broadly sub-rectangular in plan and 'L' shaped in profile, it survives to a length of 127.62mm, 64mm wide at its widest point, and 46.51mm thick at the midpoint of its raised outer edge. It weighs 324g.
