A worn base silver French coin, probably a contemporary copy of a douzain of Louis XIII perhaps struck by the Duc of Rohan or similar in the mid-17th century (c.1628-1633 AD?). The coin has a copper-alloy core with plated silver surfaces, possibly overstruck on an offical coin of Louis XIII? The flan is oval in form and both legends are poorly struck.
