A Post Medieval copper alloy trader's token of Arthur Gale of Hadleigh, dated AD 1664. The obverse inscription reads ARTHV[R . GALE .] 1664 with the Apothecaries' Arms in the centre. The reverse inscription is illegible but would have read IN . HADLEIGH, with a mullet initial mark. The initials A.A.G. are within a circle in the centre. A parallel is published in Williamson (1967, 1082, no. 140).
