Obverse: shield bearing two towers of Tournai in chief and two two lis in base, in a multiple-arched tressure; fictitious legend with Gothic letters and one rosette. Reverse: cross patty with flower with stem at each angle; fictitious Gothic legend. Cf Mitchiner (1998, p. 238, nos. 723-724).

Reverse: short cross pattee, fleur in each angle, XPC FILI DEI VIVI MISER (Christ the son of the living, merciful God). Mitchiner 1988, no. 778. Approximately a quarter of the flan is broken away in old damage.

An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval stock jetton of Tournai, dating to c AD 1415-1497. About 20% of the jetton is missing in one quarter. The jetton also shows other signs of trauma, being slightly folded across its diameter and torn at one edge. Triple stranded straight cross fleuretty in 4-arched tressure reverse; obverse indiscernible. Cf Mitchiner, M, 1988, Jetons, medalets & tokens: The Medieval Period and Nuremberg Volume One, BA Seaby Ltd, London, p 218, number 631 for similar reverse.
