A slightly clipped gold medieval half angel of Henry VII (1485-1509), Class I (North 1699). Mint of London. Ref: North 1991: 101. In this type, the angel stands one leg on the dragon, one below. Later types have both feet on the dragon.

A copper-alloy uniface coin weight of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is flat, circular in shape and with uneven edges and an undecorated back face. On the front face is depicted St. Michael with a halo spearing a dragon to the right. He appears to have a slightly bent right leg and a fairly straight left leg. The weight measures approximately 12.39mm in diameter, and 2.81mm in thickness. It weighs 2.50g, or 38.581 grains, which is just below the standard weight for a British Half Angel of 15th to 16th century AD date. Withers and Withers (1995: pp. 21) note that depictions of …
