An incomplete copper-alloy early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) bridle bit link from a horse's harness. At one end there is an attachment loop with sub-triangular outer edge and sub-circular inner hole. A slight knop projects from each corner of its outer edge and the reverse of the D-shaped hole is bevelled. Evidence of wear can be seen to one side of the loop suggesting that a strap was attached here during use. An unidentified copper-alloy object of an uncertain, probably Medieval to Post Medieval, date. The extant piece is sub-rectangular in plan and flat. It has broken and jagged edges on all sides. One face is decorated with an unclear incised motif comprised of transverse grooves set between parallel incised borders. One element is broadly spiral shaped and the motif may continue, resembling a snail shell. On the reverse is a square-shaped prkecting element which may have functioned as soom form of lug indicating that the piece was mounted or suspended.

The object is a narrow crescentic shape and V-shaped in cross-section with a shallow groove running longitudinally along the upper face/grinding surface. A damaged and very worn medieval silver halfpenny or penny of long cross type, not further defined, dating to AD1279-c.1500 (Edward I - Henry VII). The coin is in very poor condition, missing parts of the outer edge and the design almost entirely illegible. The only element of the design which survives is part of the reverse showing a long cross dividing the inscription with pellets in each quarter. The inscriptions are illegible. The diameter of the coin (16 mm) suggests the coin is either a halfpenny of Edward I-III (1279-1351) or a later penny (probably Edward IV onwards). The weig…

An incomplete copper-alloy socketed spear of Bronze Age date. Only a fragment of the blade survives. The blade is rectangular in plan. In cross-section it has a lozenge shaped mid-section. The mid-rib is prominent and runs the full length of the fragment. The surface of the metal is pitted with corrosion and the breaks are well worn. It has a brown green patina.  Without further diagnostic details its precise form and date cannot be determined, but socketed spears were in use from c.1800 BC until c.900 BC.
