An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle plate with integral pin of probable Roman date due to the presence of stamped decoration and a cast plate, of Hawkes and Dunning Type IIIB.
The plate has the remains of the integral buckle frame projecting at one side of the plate, It has a repeating stamped decoration of two rows of circular dots and a line. There is a circular hole below the pin for a rivet (now missing).

An incomplete bow and fantail brooch; with a hinged pin about AD 85-140. It can be classified as Mackreth TR 4.1b2.
The brooch is broken in two, across the top of the central rectangle. From the head a small circular integral head loop extends. The wings are decorated with transverse grooves at the terminus.The upper bow is flat-backed with a semi-circular cross-section. An incomplete copper alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch. The brooch is moulded in the form of a water fowl with closed wings. The impression of wings is created by two paralell incised grooves running running the length of the centre of the bird's back. A cast copper alloy 'moustache-shaped' object of late Bronze Age or Iron Age date. The object has a narrowed body with two sweeping swollen drop shaped ends which taper towards pointed terminals, one of which terminates in a break. There are five panels of linear grooves on each rounded side, with medial bands running down the middle, flanked by two panels of oblique lines and then two outer peripheral panels of lines running roughly parallel to those along the centre. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval harness pendant. It is very worn, and consists of the harness suspension mount with hinge and pendant. Although worn, it appears to have been sextagonal in shape, and retains inlaid enamel of red and blue alternating in triangular shapes, thinning to the central rivet. There is evidence of white metal coating.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of Medieval date. Broken off at the fold, with a design of a lion walking facing forward, in a raised rectangular linear frame with stippling, added by multiple punching; with evidence of guilding. There are circular holes for three rivets, now missing.
A similar example can be found in Egan and Pritchard, 1991, pg 110-112, plate 72, 500.

A fragment of a copper-alloy late early medieval, or Viking Age, cheekpiece, cheekpieces were worn in pairs and each is pierced with a round hole through which the ends of the jointed iron bit projected. Only a fragment of the flat plate and of the central hole survives as well as the knob which originally was at the base of a loop, the latter is now missing. This cheekpiece seems most likely to be Williams Type 1, it is very worn with no visible decoration evident. (Williams 2007).

A complete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged brooch. It has moulded wings and grooves on the bow, complete except for the pin. The wings have incised five transverse lines with a pronounced central humped bow. The flat-backed bow has two grooves either side of the central band which has a moulded groove at the top. A complete Medieval to Post Medieval lead-alloy spindle whorl dating to circa AD 1100-1550. It is broadly circular in plan and plano-convex in section. The central hole is circular with an internal diameter of 8.65mm. The piece is heavily worn.
Spindle whorls can be hard to date accurately as they remained in use for a long period of time. The weight of the spindle whorl is suggestive of a thick linen or wool fibre being spun, as there is a direct relationship between the weight of the whorl and the thickness of the resulting thread. An incomplete cast copper-alloy signet ring dating to the Medieval period. The finger ring has a D-sectioned band which is broken, with just one shoulder remaining. The oval bezel measures 13.70 x 10.7mm. The bezel is decorated with incised decoration consisting of a crowned capital I flanked by palm fronds.
They date from the 15th - early 16th century AD.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval buckle frame and plate. The buckle frame resembles a Meols type 2, D shaped buckle, dating to AD 1250-1350. The frame has a flat, expanded outer edge, with engraved transverse grooves. The frame has a narrowed and offset bar with an in-situ copper-alloy pin.
