The weight is rectanmgular with rounded corners, its tapers towards a rounded terminal edge, the upper face is wider and flat and projecting from the centre of this there is an incomplete corroded iron loop. It comprises a sub-square sheet of copper alloy that is rectangular in section and has extensive tool marks on all surfaces giving a slightly faceted appearance to the edges. Both faces carry the same decoration consisting of four punched annulets with a stamped lion mark beneath.
