An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting of probable Medieval date. It is rectangular in shape, made out of a sheet, with a circular hole at one end, and the remains of another hole at the break end. An incomplete cast copper-alloy swivel strap fitting of Medieval date. Only one loop survives in its entirety, the second loop is incomplete due to old breaks, now worn. The complete loop is D-shaped in form and section, tapering at both sides in stylised zoomorphic terminals. These are in the form of animal heads with crescent shaped ears, prominent and projecting triangular brows with transverse grooves, and elongated snouts. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy strap fitting (swivel) of medieval date (c.1066-1400). Description: The object remains as one of the zoomorphic terminals and a section of its loop. A stub of the bar projects from the animal's mouth. The animal head is moulded and symmetrical on both sides. It has multiple, deep incised grooves indicating eyes, a snout and low ears which project slightly. A vertical groove runs down the back of the head. An incomplete of a Post Medieval copper alloy hooked strap-fitting or clothes fastener, c.AD 1500-1700. The openwork fastener is sub-oval in plan, moulded at the front and flat at the rear. This fitting is missing the hook and head of the object, which would have been formed as a possibly female head with radiating hair. The main body of this item has a heart, which is positioned between a pair of breasts formed from two cast curvilinear swirls. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval sword belt hanger. It is composed of a sub-oval plate with a break at its outer end, a narrow rectangular section positioned transversely across its lower end and a long strip projecting from the centre of the lower edge of this latter section, curving round towards the reverse in a sinuous S-shape. A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of probably post-medieval date. It consists of a long strip bent into a U-shape, becoming narrower at the bend. Each end has two circular holes through it, one above the other. One of these is covered with heavy iron corrosion. Fittings such as these were used for a long period and had a variety of functions, but the style of this example suggests a more recent date.

A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of uncertain date. The object is a horizontally flattened, sub-oval loop shape with one side slightly straighter than the other. It has a pointed oval cross-section. There are areas of greater wear on each longer side, perhaps where a strap was attached originally, suggesting that it may be a section of horse gear. The surface of the metal is heavily worn and corroded. Without further diagnostic details the object is difficult to date precisely as loops such as these were used as strap and harness fittings from the Iron Age onwards.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval pendant loop dating to the later 14th century. It comprises an incomplete bar mount and quatrefoil loop. One of the lobes is squared with a recessed bar across its outer end where it is attached to an in situ simple copper-alloy strap mount. Thias is formed of sheet metal and is wrapped around the bar with a rivet hole at either end.  See Egan and Pritchard (1991, 221, fig.138, no.1189) for comparison. These are of later 14th century date (ibid., 26, fig.13).

A complete Early Medieval copper-alloy strap fitting dating to circa AD 410-1065. It consists of two oval loops in a figure of eight attached together. It has rounded edges and is undecorated. Figure of eight links in the Early Medeival period could have had a range of functions such as the connecting chains of workboxes or relic containers or as chatelaine components recovered from female burials (Geake 1997: figs 4.2; 4.16).
