A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 1600-1700. Broadly oval in plan with a convex external face and concave interior. A single lug projects from one end. The external face is decorated with two median incised parallel grooves together with a further at the terminal, likely intended to represent an acorn. From the reverse to opposed circular sectioned fixing lugs project. An identical example is depicted in Read 2016: pg 42, no 334 dated to the 17th century AD.  Length: 27.1mm; Width: 10.8mm; Thickness: 1.7mm; Weight: 2.10g.

A fragment of a copper-alloy mount of late early-medieval to medieval date. A long, narrow strip with a break at either end. The main body is C-shaped in cross-section with a convex outer surface and concave reverse. To one end there is a terminal with a moulded outer face and flat reverse. This moulding consists of two transverse raised ridges towards the outer end and a raised chevron at the inner end, together forming the slightly zoomorphic effect that is typical on mounts of this form. A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 1600-1700. Sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section, the mount is asymmetrical. At one end is a trefoil knopped terminal whilst the other is rounded. The bar between is broadly triangular.. The reverse is plain. Two integral circular sectioned attachment lugs positioned on the longitudinal axis, now surived by stumps. . A similar mount from has been dated by Read to the 17th century (Read 2001: 28 and 35, fig. 20, No. 292). Length: 29mm; Width: 9.1mm; Thickness: 2.5mm; Weight: 3.42g.

An incomplete probable Early Medieval copper-alloy object dating to circa AD 410-1065. It has a flat crucific-style terminal. the arms of the cross are flat and pelta shaped. In the centre is a punched dot. The arms of the cross are decorated on both faces with two adjacent punched dots. The terminal is integral with a circular-sectioned shaft wich gradually flares outwards before terminating in an ancient break. Significant iron staining surrounds the break. A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy mount or stud dating to circa AD 1550-1700. It is disc-shaped with straight edges. The front face is decorated with a crude Tudor rose consisting of a central pellet with five surrounding petals. An iron rivet is situated on the reverse and now surrounding by significant iron corrosion. The form of the rose suggests an early post-medieval date. Numerous similar examples have been recorded on the database including: SF-3EC000; WILT-A14ABB, IOW-FF9679, SOM-4BD6B2, BERK-707D0E. Length: 12.7mm; Width: 11.6mm; Thickness: 4.1mm; Weight: 1.07g.

A fragment of a probable Early Medieval copper-alloy mount possibly dating to circa AD 600-700. The extant piece is flat and resembles the head of a right facing bird of prey's head which has a curved beak. The design is deeply incised. The fragmentary nature of the extant piece precludes precise identification but it is not dissimilar to SF-1B4771. A incomplete Post Medieval copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 1600-1700. Sub-rectangular in plan it cast in a propeller or bow-tie shaped. It is broadly D-shaped in section. On the front face are symmetrical moulded trefoil terminals, decorated with transverse incised grooves. On the front face is the chip-carved design of a bird of prey facing right in profile. Its body curves around and has five concentrically placed fine grooves. Medieval copper-alloy rectangular bar-mount, pentagonal cross-section, with a flat reverse and bevelled edges on all four edges of the front. There are two rivet-holes, one with a copper-alloy rivet, the holes are slightly countersunk on the reverse. The extant rivet has expanded ends and is now bent (length 4.5mm). The mount is 16mm long, 4mm wide, 1.2mm thick, and weighs 0.51g. Similar to Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 1138, which comes from a context of c. 1270-1350.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy bar mount dating to circa AD 1350-1400. It consists of a single, circular-sectioned frame loop with a rectangular bar folded around the frame. The bar is now incomplete with only one of the plates and the looped element extant. The front face of the extant bar has a raised centre. The outer edges are beaded. A complete Roman copper-alloy stud mount dating to circa AD 43-140. It is rectangular in plan and D-shaped in section. Each end contains a flat, hemispherical terminal. The body is decorated with four moulded transverse grooves. Projecting from the riverse is an integrally cast rivet with hexagonal stem and wide, flat circular terminal. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 150-300. The extant piece is broadly oval in plan, with portions missing from both the upper and lower edges. It has a flat outer edge which a central oval convex boss, resembling a coffee bean. On the reverse at each end are two circular-sectioned rivets with flat tops. A complete Roman copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 43-410. Rectangular in plan and broadly square-shaped in section, the mount is janiform, with two moulded human heads placed back to back. The heads are situated on a moulded rectangular collar with a flat base. Emerging from the base is an integrally cast circular sectioned rivet which would have slotted into a socket. The piece is perhaps a furniture fitting.  Length 21.6mm, width 12.6mm, thickness 9.4mm. Weight 20.03g.
