A broken integral ug projects from the centre of the reverse. The surface of the metal is hevaily corroded.  A similar shaped mount excavated in London is decorated with dots and has been dated c. 1270-1450 (Egan & Pritchard 1991: 200, fig. 125, ref: 1080).

A complete lead or lead alloy mount of probable Medieval date. It is flat, zoomorphic in form and with moulded incised decoration. It takes the form of a bird, probably a dove, in flight, with the head facing to the left. There is a hole through the mount where the eye of the bird is, either for a rivet to fix it to whatever it was mounted on or possibly to allow a loop to pass through and be used as a pendant. The wings are symetrically placed and have been incised with three grooves on each wing to represent feathers. There are also five incised grooves on the tail to represent …

An incomplete pair of lead-alloy spiral star shaped mounts, their edges partly broken away in old damage. The fronts of the mounts demonstrate a spiraloid star-like pattern, the surviving arms terminating in tight scrolls. These are possibly late Medieval to early Post-Medieval (c. 1400-1550) decorative architectural ceiling mounts, comparable with a number recorded on the PAS database, e.g PUBLIC-CF1EB2 and WAW-D18D4E. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven creamy brown patina, they survive to diameters of 22.40mm/26.91mm respectively, and 3.45mm/3.36mm thick respectively. Each w…

A lead-alloy object of uncertain date, possibly a mount or finial from a larger object. It has a lion's face surrounded by a mane which narrows and bends and ends in an old break. This may be due to post-depositional damage or could possibly be a broken hooked tag but there are no attachment facets. The top is flat. It measures 25.40mm in length, 15.48mm in width, 5.77mm in thickness and weighs 7.11g.

Object 37mm long shaped like a crescent moon. There is an upper and lower side, for one side is domed in profile and the other is flat. Near the tip of one of the crescent arms, (the crescent itself being 24mm high), is mounted a metal oval 13mm high by 11 broad by 4mm thick, and this is set at right-angles to the flat of the crescent, and projects upwards. From its centre emerges a pin of 2.5mm gauge. The metal appears heavy and silverish, rather like lead, but is perhaps a high-lead alloy. The meaning is obscure - the pin appears to be for fixing the whole to an object unknown.
