A fragment of a pair of copper alloy post-medieval dividers. It consists of a large faceted knob with a short bar extending from the rear. The bar is lozenge shaped in cross-section with two narrow slots running the length of the upper surface and decending halfway down and two thin triangular plates extending from the lower surface with a slot between them. The outer end of the bar is uneven suggesting that it is broken rather than part of the original design. It survives in good condition with a shiny brown patina. The fragment is almost identical to the handle of a pair of call…

A fragment of a copper alloy post-medieval dividers. It consists of a long, thin bar, triangular in cross-section with faceted edges, which expands into forked circular plates at one end, both containing the remains of iron rivets through holes in their centres and together forming a hinge. This hinge is now damaged and one half is separated from the other, but this separate section retains a broken section of sheet metal attached, which probably formed a longer arm originally. There is a break at the other end of the bar. Main section: Length: 68.43mm, width: 12.37mm, thickness: 6…
