mediaeval coarseware rimsherd from a bowl. The rim itself had a flat horizontal projecting form, chanelled during throwing above, and a slight lip projecting within the bowl. This rim is 21mm across by 11mm thick. The wall fabric of the vessel veers inwards at 45 degrees before adjusting itself to a more vertical profile, below which it is broken. The full height from the horizontal rim to the lowest point of the body-sherd is 32mm. The body fabric is mainly of a buff colour with slight superficial reddening, but also blackened in one portion.
