The bow is flat. The terminal is decorated with an expanded transverse ridge and a flat D-shaped base. On the back face of the foot is an integrally cast catchplate. This is triangular in form with a rectangular pin groove.
This brooch measures 19.25mm in length, 6.75mm in width, 1.33mm in thickness, 1.52g in weight.

An incomplete and worn copper-alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester derivative with double pierced lug. It is missing the pin, foot, catch plate and part of the bow due to old breaks, now worn.
The wings are semi-cylindrical in form, undecorated and separated at their centre by a rear facing double pierced lug. This holds in place the separately cast copper-alloy spring chord and spring with six surviving coils. An incomplete copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. Only the foot survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat, flaring triangular in shape with a straight terminal edge. The front face is decorated with a central downward pointing triangle with a central longitudinal groove. On the back face are the remains of a central longitudinal catch plate.
Unfortunately the diagnostic features of this brooch are missing. Similar examples of decoration can be seen in Hattatt (Hattatt, 1989, p.311, no. 290, p. 312, no.1486).

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman bow brooch, probably of Colchester derivative type. Only the foot of the bow and catch plate survive, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
The bow is rectangular in section. The front face is decorated with a central longitudinal rib. At the base of the bow is an integrally cast catch plate that is triangular in form with sub-oval openwork decoration and a rectangular pin groove.
This brooch measures 33.91mm in length, 6.29mm in width, 3.31mm in thickness, 5.43g in weight.
