A Roman copper-alloy bow brooch of Dolphin type. The brooch has a long bow (56.6 mm in length) which curves above the head. The wingspan is 25 mm, the left wing (with front of brooch facing) is damaged. The wings are semi-cylindrical where they would have once held the sprung pin mechanism, now missing, as is the pin itself. The brooch is decorated with vertical ridges on the front of the wings and a central rib which runs down the bow of the brooch, itself decorated with closely spaced lateral ridges.
