A copper-alloy Post-Medieval Jetton of Hans Krauwinckel II (master AD 1586-1635), dating to AD 1590-1600. Obverse: Death (in the form of a skeleton) standing behind a rich lady with a hourglass in left hand, to her left a flower in bloom, to his right a wilting flower; MORS VLTIMA. Reverse: Tree; EST ARBORI [SPES: SI PRAE]CISA FVER[IT RVRSVM VIRESCIT], H[K] in exergue; See Mitchiner (1988, p. 460, part of the series of no. 1632); Mitchiner recerences it in Barnard (1917, pl. 32 no. 61). A copper-alloy Medieval German jetton copying the design of the French Dauphine jettons, dating to c. AD 1480-1490. The jetton has a golden appearence for the high zinc content in the alloy. Obv: long cross dividing field in four angles with three fleur-de-lis alternate with a dauphine; crown initial marc and fictitious legend reading VBVE[...]MVRB[...]. Rev: many fleur-de-lis in the field; crown initial mark VMBEVSBVENVAh:[...]I[...]VNC Cf Mitchiner (1988, p. 347, no. 1044).

A complete copper-alloy medieval Nuremberg 'Ship-penny' jetton dating to the period AD 1490-1550. Obverse type depicting a ship, with stern castle on the left and bow castle is on the right. The legends are largely illegible. Reverse type depicting four fleurs de lis in a lozenge. A similar example is illustrated in Mitchiner M. (1988), p. 372, no. 1166. The jetton has a diameter of 25.98 mm, a thickness of 0.44 mm and weighs 1.73 g.
