Obverse shows a forward facing bifoliate crowned bust within multifoil. Obverse legend reads [E]DWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRA. Reverse shows a solid long cross with three pellets per quarter within two concentric circles of legend. Reverse legend reads POSVI/DEVM.A/DIVTOR/E.MEV[M]. - CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR. Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 1.11g, diameter is 19.5mm, thickness is 0.6mm.

The coin is 18.7mm in diameter and weighs 1.3g.
