Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative double lug, Harlow type. Complete except for pin, bent, damage on mid bow. 16-turn spring. Two grooves at wing terminals. D-section bow with strong centre rib on upper bow; there are also stepped areas at the edges of the top of the bow where it joins the wings, which continues as marginal grooves on the lower bow. The centre rib is replaced by grooves on the lower bow. The foot is marked by a cross rib flanked by grooves; the rib extends around the bottom of the catchplate. Copper alloy late Iron Age brooch fragment, Birdlip type (also called beaked bow). Missing spring, pin and lower bow including most of the catchplate. Large trumpet head with a central low relief teardrop shaped moulding and prominent partial hemispherical mouldings on each side. Copper alloy Roman brooch fragment. Missing head, spring, pin; damaged catchplate. The upper bow is a narrow oval in section with notching across the front face; in profile it is quite strongly curved. At the break it appears to be thickening slightly at the back. A plain circular flange joins the base of the upper bow and the the lower bow continues from the back of the flange.
