Roman samian ware vessel rim sherd. The sherd is trapezoid, with a shallow 'D' shaped rim along the top edge. The inner surface is damaged, with a large amount of the slip missing. There is a small amount of damaged to the outer edge. There is no visible decoration. The sherd is 26.03mm long, the body wall is 3.27mm thick and the rim is 4.93mm wide, 4.10mm thick. It weighs 1.72 grams.

Medieval to Post Medieval wheel thrown pottery vessel rim sherd. The internal and external fabric colour is light grey. There are fine silver mica inclusions. The rim has a sub-rectangular cross section, measuring 9.45mm long, 8.3mm wide. The body wall expands out into the shoulder of the vessel almost immediately. The sherd is 7.04mm thick at the neck and 7.47mm thick on the shoulder. It weighs 24.51 grams. The breaks are worn.

Post Medieval wheel thrown pottery vessel rim sherd. The internal and external fabric colour is light grey, and the surface is extremely worn and pitted. The rim has a rectangular cross section, measuring 12.83mm long, 5.55mm wide. There is a short neck before curving out into the shoulder of the vessel. The neck has an oval projection with a worn break, from where the handle would have protruded. The wall is at aproximately a 50 degree angle, the the body wall is 6.73mm thick. The base would have been aproximately 130mm in diameter. It weighs 39.46 grams. The breaks are worn.

Seven sherds of Post Medieval wheel thrown pottery. Five sherds are made from a sandy fabric with mica inclusions and very sparce shell inclusions. There are specks of green glaze glaze on both the inner and outer surfaces of the sherds. The sherds weigh 280 grams. Although these are of similar fabrics, they appear to be from different vessels. Fragment of wheel thrown slightly sandy shelly ware dating from late Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) to early Medieval, circa 850 to 1200AD. The fabric is tempered with shell and small dispursed flint inclusions. The core is grey, and the external surfaces are reddish-brown. It it part of the shoulder of a vessel, with part of the wall being straight, before expanding outwards giving the sherd a convex profile. The fragment measures 62.08mm by 39.46mm, is 5.90mm thick and weighs 21.13 grams.
