Roman copper alloy dolphin type bow brooch, 33mm long, 21mm wide and 12mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 5.79grams. The brooch consists of open semi-circular wings which are now missing the spring. They are decorated on each side with a vertical row of short raised lines flanked on both sides by a solid raised line. The bow is semi-circular and is decorated with a ridge of short raised lines. There is most of a triangular shaped catchplate present near the base.

Medieval copper alloy pot leg, 68mm long, 15mm in diameter with a weight of 89grams. The object is in good condition with its original surface which has a greenish/black patina. The object is very plain tube which widens slightly at its base. It is damaged here, but part of the base is at a 450 angle and has been polished to a shiny black patina.

Roman copper alloy headstud type bow brooch, 27mm long, 16mm wide and 9mm thick. The brooch is very worn and weighs 5.54grams. The brooch consists of the stumps of circular sectioned hinged wings with the remains of a loop at the top. There is a raised circular motif containing a recess on the front of the upper bow, which is semi-circular in section, and below this are traces of raised solid lines running its length. The reverse of the bow carries a scar where the catchplate would have been. The bottom is missing.

The reverse has a long cross with pellets, with a letter D in the centre (for Durham?) and a legend again partly off the flan.
