An incomplete copper alloy Medieval cylindrical barrel padlock mechanism, c.AD 1200-1400. The padlock mechanism consists of a two cylindrical sections connected by a rectangular central section. The upper cylindrical section has a circular perforation, the lower is solid. The rectangular projection has a small circular projection in its centre.The solid cylindrical section has two rectangular projections which have circular perforations at the terminals and show evidence of solder on both the upper and lower face. An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap fitting of swivel type from a Medieval date 1080 - 1450. Only one loop remains, the remainder is missing due to old breaks. The loop is D-shaped in form and tapers at both sides with zoomorphic terminals. These are in the form of animal heads with elongated snouts with a sharpe central ridge. Eyes are visible on one terminal, but worn on the other. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-looped buckle (c. 1250-c. 1400). The pin is missing. This buckle frame is similar to a Meol's type 10. It has an oval shaped frame with an offset and narrowed bar, thickened at the outer edge. At the outer edge, on the front and rear, there are transverse ridges as decoration. At each corner of the outer edge there is a large rounded knop, one of these at the front edge of the buckle is partially broken in antiquity. This buckle frame is of a mid brown colour. A fragment of the rim of a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel of late Medieval to Post medieval date ( 1450-1600 ). The fragment is roughly rectangular, 36.07mm long, 26.42mm wide, 4.83mm in thickness and weighs 17.2g. The fragment shows a curvature that indicates that the original diameter of the vessel would have been approx 34cms. The exterior surface is slightly pitted, but almost entirely coated in burnt black organic matter from when the vessel was near the fire. A complete uniface Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, dating from c. AD 1250-1800. This is a Powell Type 14 token. One face of the token has a large single cross which is raised above the surface, the reverse is blank. The token is of a light grey/biege colour. A very similar token can be found on the PAS at - PUBLIC-02FB53 Diameter 23.6mm. Thickness 2.34mm. Weight 6.5gms.
