A fragment of a rotary quern of probable Roman date. Made from medium to fine grain sandstone with evidence of fine inclusions. The fragment is part of the lower half of the quern and does not extend to the middle hole, so the dimensions of the entire stone are uncertain. The quern stone is flat on the lower side with a convex rounded edge with the lower facebeing wider than the inner side. A fragment originating from a large Roman ceramic greyware vessel (possibly a storage jar) dating from AD 43 - 410. The fragment is a base sherd with a small extension of one side of the vessel and is of mid grey colour showing flint inclusions. The sherd is 68.24mm long, 33.27mm wide, 13.64mm thick ( average ) and weighs 60.6 grams.

A complete horse harness pendant of Roman date 43AD - 300AD. The pendant is of the drop form type and consists of a suspension loop that is attached to a tube shaped section that tapers towards the termination. Halfway down this section the pendant has a slightly widened waist. The terminal is arrowhead shaped or possibly phallic. The object is dark green in colour and is well preserved. The pendant measures 31.61mm in length, 4.5mm wide and weighs 2.0g. These type of pendant were attached to the end of straps running down from the harness. Similar examples are shown in the book - …

Medieval (c. AD 1150- c.1450) copper alloy trilobate bar mount with two rivets soldered into hollows on back rather than driven through from the front. The mount consists of three lobes the central one being much larger than the two either side of it. Central lobe is also decorated with cross hatched lines. Unlike the other examples on the database the rivets have not been driven through the mount from the front, instead the lobes have been cast hollow and it would seem the rivets have been soldered into the hollows. A complete cast copper alloy single oval looped buckle Marshall Type 1B (11) . The frame is oval with a narrower offset strap bar expanded at each end with two small knops and has a slight recess at the centre for the pin to rest. The top frame of the buckle is expanded and decorated with two knops which flank a plate divided into 4 sections (two large,two small) by 3 incised grooves. The pin is a cast round pointed strip of copper alloy, folded over the bar.The buckle can be broadly dated between 1250 -1350AD. The loop side thickness is 4.71. The buckle is in good condition
