A copper alloy composite strap end of medieval date ( 1300-1400 ) made from two sheets that are riveted either side of a forked spacer.There is a small tongue shaped knop terminal. There is an old break around where a single copper alloy rivet would have been for attachment, now missing. There are two small copper rivets at the base end of the strap end joining the two sides together. The strap end has an even light brown colour.

An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval strap end, dating to AD 1300-1450. It consists of one remaining sub-rectangular plate, the other plate and forked spacer now missing. The remaining plate shows two copper-alloy rivets, one at the attachment end and one at the terminal, both central at their respective ends of the sheets. The plate is sub rectangular, tapering towards the closed terminal which has curved shoulders and terminates with a small knop. The face of the plate is undecorated. The strap end is a generally a dark green colour.

An incomplete front plate of a Medieval cast copper alloy two-piece crescentic composite strap end dating to c15thC. The plate is broadly crescent-shaped with a rectangular cross-section and is decorated with uneven, hand-incised lines comprising a single line set in from each edge and infilled with horizontal hatching. An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period, c. AD 1350 -1500. The strap end consists of two rectangular plates, though is missing the internal forked spacer which originally would have been situated in between the plates. The plates terminate with a squared off end with shoulders and has a pointed knop-like protrusion. An incomplete medieval strap end consisting of one remaining plate from the original. The plate is rectangular with the end nearest to the original belt attachment having a wavy shape with a rivet hole just below the end which is in the centre of two parallel lines below the wavy end. The distant end is rounded and the plate is undecorated. The plate is a dark brown colour.

A Medieval composite copper-alloy strap-end of 14th-century date. It is made up of two long, slightly tapering plates which are separated with a forked spacer. There is a circular copper-alloy rivet in the centre of the rectilinear attachment end. The strap-end tapers gently to the terminal where it is sharply angled to a flat trefoil knop. There is a second copper-alloy rivet just above the knop. Length 55.13mm, width 12.16mm, thickness 3.39mm. Weight 8g.
Many strap-ends of this type are known from 14th-century contexts in London (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 145).
