A fragment of a rotary quern of probable Roman date. Made from medium to fine grain sandstone with evidence of fine inclusions. The fragment is part of the lower half of the quern and does not extend to the middle hole, so the dimensions of the entire stone are uncertain. The quern stone is flat on the lower side with a convex rounded edge with the lower facebeing wider than the inner side.
