A complete uniface Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, dating from c. AD 1250-1800. This is a Powell Type 14 token. One face of the token has a large single cross which is raised above the surface, the reverse is blank. The token is of a light grey/biege colour. A very similar token can be found on the PAS at - PUBLIC-02FB53 Diameter 23.6mm. Thickness 2.34mm. Weight 6.5gms. A complete lead-alloy cloth seal dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1600-1700. It is composed of two discs joined on one edge by a folded connecting strip as well as a central integrally cast stud. The front disc is worn, depicting a stamped Tudor rose design with an illegible inscription around. The opposing face is completely blank and featureless. Preserved in fair condition with an even greyish patina, it measures 16.59mm in diameter, 3.82mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 5.87g. A fragment of a post-medieval lead-alloy cloth seal probably dating 1600-1700. Only a portion of one disc remains, with half of it broken off so it is now more semi-circular in shape. It still has a slight protrusion opposite the broken edge where the integral connecting stud would have originally been sited. Perpendicular to this protrusion is a letter 'V' stamped into the metal. There is no other design and the surface is smooth. The back is rough so may have had a design which has now been worn away. A complete cast lead-alloy ampulla dating to the Medieval period, c.1350-1530. The ampulla is broadly bag-shaped, with two suspension lugs situated at its mid point on either side of the object. One of the lugs has retained its shape whereas the opposite is broken and distorted. One face is decorated with a hachured border that runs around the entire outer edge of the ampulla, but this is not visible at the upper portion of the object due to old damage. A complete cast lead-alloy Roman miniature axe head, dating to AD 43-410. The axe head has a square butt, which is transversely pierced with a circular hole, 2.91mm in diameter. The body flares outwards in shape from the butt and thins towards the blade. There are many similar examples on the PAS, e.g. SF-F38B36, LEIC-15FF66, WILT-65C821 and NARC-ABC202. A Post-Medieval cast lead object: a palm guard, for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. In plan it is oval in shape, pointed at one end. It is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat surface is marked by one small lead mound near the centre to stop the needle slipping of the flat surface. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.

A complete cast lead-alloy bifaced circular lead token of Powell's type 2. Obverse: a bird facing right. Reverse: initials in capitals 'S C' with three pellets between the letters and one pellet after the C. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period. Those with initials are generally thought to date to the post medieval period. (1550-1800 AD).

A medieval lead alloy seal matrix dating to c.AD 1200 -1350. It is sub-circular and flat. The die inscription reads: +S'TOME:LECAJ and surrounds a design of a cross of palm leaves or fronds. On the reverse there is a Fleur de Lys in relief. The pierced lug has broken away in antiquity leaving a small knop where it once was. Length: 33.2mm. Diameter: 31.74.  Thickness: 5.29mm.  Weight: 29.23gms

A complete cast and decorated lead alloy tobacco box lid handle. The handle is broadly oval in plan and irregular in profile. The central handle is broadly decorated as a flower. It has a central raised boss, which expands into a series of eight radiating lentoid shaped petals. The neck below the handle becomes narrow before expanding outwards in a slanting platform with the remains of a rivet protruding from underneath. It takes the form of a bird, probably a dove, in flight, with the head facing to the left.
