An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester derivative hinged type. With considerable corrosion and old damage only one wing and top part of the bow survive. The remaining wing is cylindrical in shape with a join running across the reverse where it has been rolled from a single piece of metal and there is a transverse slot in the centre within which is iron concretion. A body sherd of a thick walled ceramic vessel of Roman date. The sherd has a grey fabric with a grey core sandwiched between two terracotta colour layers that have dark dusty surfaces which could be burning on both surfaces. The sherd has frequent quartzite inclusions.

A fragment of a rotary quern of probable Roman date. Made from medium to fine grain sandstone with evidence of fine inclusions. The fragment is part of the lower half of the quern and does not extend to the middle hole, so the dimensions of the entire stone are uncertain. The quern stone is flat on the lower side with a convex rounded edge with the lower facebeing wider than the inner side. The upper surface has a groove of approximately 40mm wide extending to the outer edge, presumably to allow the flow of ground flour. The surviving edge is dressed.

A fragment originating from a large Roman ceramic greyware vessel (possibly a storage jar) dating from AD 43 - 410. The fragment is a base sherd with a small extension of one side of the vessel and is of mid grey colour showing flint inclusions. The sherd is 68.24mm long, 33.27mm wide, 13.64mm thick ( average ) and weighs 60.6 grams.

A complete horse harness pendant of Roman date 43AD - 300AD. The pendant is of the drop form type and consists of a suspension loop that is attached to a tube shaped section that tapers towards the termination. Halfway down this section the pendant has a slightly widened waist. The terminal is arrowhead shaped or possibly phallic. The object is dark green in colour and is well preserved. The pendant measures 31.61mm in length, 4.5mm wide and weighs 2.0g.

A complete cast copper-alloy plate brooch of first to second century AD date. The plate is lozenge shaped in form with a complete zoomorphic head of a snake, turtle or bird projecting from its front upper edge. The front face of the plate is raised and has enamelled decoration comprising a central field containing orange enamel. A virtually complete copper-alloy Roman zoomorphic folding knife handle; the blade itself is missing. It is broadly rectangular in plan and cross section depicting a stylised hound chasing a hare. Extending from the panel is the openwork scene, both animals running towards the hilt end of the handle. They are depicted in mid stride with the hound just grasping the tail of the hare. A complete copper alloy harness pendant of Roman date ( 1st - 3rd century ). The object can be divided into two sections. The upper section has a flattened body that widens upwards away from the lower section and has an obtuse pointed top. Within the upper section there is an oval hole that would have accommodated a suspension loop. The lower section is of roughly equal length to the upper section and is a rounded column shape with five inscribed lines that encompass the column. The object has a light green colouration.

A copper-alloy fragment of a Roman brooch, probably of the Colchester Derivative type, dating to AD 43-120. All that remains is the foot of the brooch. The back of the foot has a triangular catch-plate, which is pierced with a triangular hole and has a forward curled rear edge which is partly broken from an old break. To the front of the bow is a central midrib. The patina is light green in colour.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester derivative Roman rear-hook brooch dating to AD 43-70. The head is semi-cylindrical in shape with the wings truncated in old damage and at the centre of the front is the stub of what would have been an integral rear hook. The bow is D-shaped in section, is decorated with three longitudinal grooves, and narrows from 7.9mm at the top to 3.1mm at the bottom where it ends in old damage The rear is missing its closing mechanism and there is iron concretion to the concave head and part way down the bow. The catchplate is missing.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pin of probable Roman extending to medieval date. The head is biconical with a diameter of c7.0mm and the integral shaft is circular in shape with its diameter, unusually, increasing from c3mm where it meets the head to c4mm at the base where it is truncated by old damage. This suggests its use may have been other than as a hair or clothing pin.

A complete cast copper-alloy button and loop fastener corresponding to Wild's (1970) class VIb, dating c. 50-150 AD. The object is constructed with a rectangular flat undecorated head with a shank on the reverse which curves back on itself so as to be on the same plane as the head, before bifurcating into a triangular loop. A Roman copper alloy furniture fitting/mount. The handle is circular in cross section with three baluster-like sections separated by four dividing ribs topped by a domed cap. It is missing the terminal end of the catchplate beyond the return bend, but is otherwise complete and in a well preserved condition. An incomplete silvered copper-alloy spoon of early Roman date circa 75 - 200AD. Only a small fragment of the bowl and approximately one third of the handle survives. The curved outer rim of the bowl suggest it was circular, making it a Type 1 spoon in Crummy's (1983, p.70, fig.73, no.2008) classification. The junction of handle and bowl consists of the handle thinning and tapering into the rear surface of the bowl, known as a 'rat-tail'.
