Copper alloy plate brooch with white metal on surface. Pin broken, badly damaged around the edges and the catchplate. The pin is hinged between two close set lugs. Copper alloy brooch fragment from a lozenge shaped equal ended type. Missing top part, bottom knob, one side knob; bent. Centre panel has two stamped circles with deeper centre dot. A small flat knob projects to the side. The lower triangular panel is slightly convex fronted and apparently undecorated, with the stub of the catchplate at the break. Slight traces of white metal. Surviving width 16mm, surviving length 16mm. Smaller than most examples of the type but similar in scale to Hattatt no. 562 although this has the common row of three circles.
