An unclipped silver Roman siliqua of Magnus Maximus (AD 383-388), dating to the period c.AD 383-388 (Reece period 20). VIRTVS RO-MANORVM reverse type depicting Victory seated, holding Victory on globe and spear. Mint of Trier. As Hoxne no. 518; RIC IX, p. 29, no. 84b. There is a small hairline fracture on obverse extends from bottom edge of coin to the centre.
Obverse: D N MAG MAX-IMVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed,draped, and cuirassed bust right.
