An incomplete copper-alloy buckle with coposite rigid plate of Medieval date. It has a forked spacer, notch for missing pin, the frame protrudes on each side at junction of narrowed bar and frame. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle with integral (rigid) plate of Medieval date. It is broadly trapezoidal in form, with an incised notched pin rest on the outer edge, a circular hole for the now missing pin below the frame. It has a stamped dot pattern across the plate in repeating lines, before terminating in an old break. It is undecorated on the reverse.  Length:29.09mm Width: 21.92mm Weight: 3.66g

A fragment of a copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is rectangular in shape, and only the outer edge remains. At each end there are knops, with incised crosses in each knop. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman brooch. Only part of the bow and catchplate remain, it is very worn. The bow is flat, with rectangular cross section, on the front face are two longitudinal grooves below which is a moulded transverse groove, which tapers into a triangular shape before terminating in an old break. An incomplete worn enamelled copper-alloy flat disc brooch dating to 80-250AD. A small disc, with the (now missing) pin mounted between two worn lugs. On the centre of the disc is a centrla reserved spot surrounded by a concave sided hexagon on whose cusps are small circles, and in the recesses are remains of blue enamel. A similar example can be seen in Mackreth, 2011, pg 108, plate 105, 11599 and 10656. Diameter: 17.03mm Weight: 1.47g

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy possible trumpet brooch dating to circa AD 75-175. All that remains is part of the bow, foot and catchplate. The foot is triangular in form, with a flat base, and a recessed triangle, which may have been enamelled. To the reverse are the remains of a catchplate. The central disc is knobbed, and has concentric circles design. Similar examples can be found in Mackreth, 2011, pg89, plate 86, 5587-5625. Length: 31.04mm Width: 14.51mm Weight: 3.68g
