A pair of complete Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy tweezers dating to circa AD 43-1066. The tweezers are sub-rectangular in plan. In section, the arm end is bent out shape at a 90 degree angle to the loop. The loop is circular and contains the remains of a complete wire suspension loop. The suspension loop has two coiled ends to keep it in place. The arms of the tweezers flare outwards and the tip of one arm is folded inwards at 90 degrees.  The form and the inclusion of a slip knot suspension loop suggests an Early Medieval date. …

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch with double pierced lug. Half the spring is missing, the pin and wings are incomplete. The lug becomes a central rib on the upper bow, with moulded grooves on either side. The flat centre rib of the lower bow has lightly incised rocker decoration. Two complete Medieval copper-alloy thimbles. The thimbles have slightly sloping sides and a domed top. The surface is decorated with individually punched circular holes in a continuous anti-clockwise (left-hand) spiral, starting from a bare 'tonsure' at the centre of the top and ending in a slightly thickened band at the base. One pit no pierces the metal. A probable incomplete early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy strap end with a wedge shaped terminal end which is not split, but has two rivet holes, one through either corner with the remains of copper-alloy rivets within them. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman finger ring. Only the shoulders and bezel of the ring survive intact, the remainder missing due to old breaks. The shoulders are flat, oval shaped in section and expand to encompass the oval shaped bezel. The bezel contains a central S-coil motif either side of which are recessed fields filled with the remains of red enamel. Only the tip survives, the pitting and corrosion. This is an incomplete fragment from the tip of a Bronze Age object, probably a spear of uncertain type. It is likely to date to the Middle or Late Bronze Age, c.1600-800 BC. It is 35.61mm in length, 12.68mm in width, 4.04mm in width and 5.32g in weight.

Rectangular in shape with a waisted centre, it is narrower at the terminal which ends in a rectangular knop. Decorated with transverse mouldings and grooves. The incomplete terminal has the remains of corded iron surviving which may be an iron blade from a small knife. It is 24.33mm in length, 13.62mm in width and 6.82g in weight.  There are no similar examples of this form on PAS.

A complete copper-alloy early medieval to medieval D-shaped buckle loop frame with a narrowed bar, and a fragment remains of the pin attached to the bar, pin missing. The outside edge of the loop is bevelled. There are zoomorphic mouldings each side of the strap bar. It is 28.49mm in length, 22.02mm in width,3.97mm in thickness and weighs 5.93g. Similar examples can be see in Griffiths et al, 2007, pg62, 310, which they date broadly to the 11th-12th Century AD.
