A fragment of a Roman copper-alloy brooch dating to circa AD 43-150.The extant piece consists of the foot, terminal and catchplate. The foot is rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. Its terminal is bulbous with a flate base. The front face of the foot is undecorated. Emerging from the reverse of the foot is V-shaped catchplate with folded edge.  iThe brooch has a dark green patina. Owing to the fragmentary nature of the brooch it is not possible to assign it a classification so a broad mid 1st century to mid 2nd century AD date is offered.

The strap end has a zoomorphic closed end in the form of an animal snout. There are crescentic eyes and large looped ears. The main body of the strap end has a billeted outer border, then inside that a plain border. The rectangular panel contains a Trewhiddle style beast. An incomplete of a Post Medieval copper alloy hooked strap-fitting or clothes fastener, c.AD 1500-1700. The openwork fastener is sub-oval in plan, moulded at the front and flat at the rear. This fitting is missing the hook and head of the object, which would have been formed as a possibly female head with radiating hair. The main body of this item has a heart, which is positioned between a pair of breasts formed from two cast curvilinear swirls. Beneath is a small raised sub-circular pellet, which probably represents a rounded stomach. Either side are two sub-oval perforated…

Fragment of a Medieval-Post Medieval cast copper alloy cauldron, c.AD 1300-1600. This is the foot of a small cauldron or skillet, which ends in an old break at the junction of the foot and leg. The base of the foot is flat and unmarked, the rest of the metal has some corrosion. This item has a dark mottled green patina.

A complete flint Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead on a tertiary flake dating to circa 2350-1000 BC. It is triangular in shape with projecting short barbs.It is bifacially worked; both faces have covering parallel low-angle retouch.  Barbed and tanged arrowheads are characteristic of the Neolithic/early Bronze Age transition.

A fragment of a probable Early Medieval cruciform/small long brooch dating to circa AD 450-550. The extant piece consists of the lower bow and foot. The bow is rectangular in plan and curved in profile. It is has convex underside and concave front face. At the junction of the bow and foot is a transverse incised groove. The foot is flat and broadly triangular in shape. It is now heavily worn but appears undecorated. Emerging from the reverse of the foot is a broken, flat likely D-shaped catchplate.
