A fragment of a copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) strap end of Thomas Class E, Type 1 dating to the period c. AD 1000 - 1100. It would have comprised of an open-work design, but all that remains is the attachment end. The attachment plate retains three entrally positioned rivet holes. One part of the plate is missing, the other is broken at the knop. The remaining plate has a hole for a now missing rivet a tthe terminal. A probable incomplete early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy strap end with a wedge shaped terminal end which is not split, but has two rivet holes, one through either corner with the remains of copper-alloy rivets within them. The shaft is incomplete and what remains is decorated with four transverse mouldings. The front face is decorated with annulets arranged in lines hoirzontally and vertically.
