A incomplete Post Medieval copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 1600-1700. Sub-rectangular in plan it cast in a propeller or bow-tie shaped. It is broadly D-shaped in section. On the front face are symmetrical moulded trefoil terminals, decorated with transverse incised grooves. In the centre is a square-shaped bar separated from the terminals by an an incised longitudinal groove. From the reverse project two circular-sectioned lugs, tapering into points. There a traces of tinning on the front face.
A similar example is depicted in Read 2016: 311.

An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 550-625. The extant piece is hemispherical with an openwork design. On the front face is the chip-carved design of a bird of prey facing right in profile. Its body curves around and has five concentrically placed fine grooves. The head has a small indent for an eye and a large curving beak, bent upward by damage. It is similar in form to Read 2016: pg 28 nos 160-162.

Medieval copper-alloy rectangular bar-mount, pentagonal cross-section, with a flat reverse and bevelled edges on all four edges of the front. There are two rivet-holes, one with a copper-alloy rivet, the holes are slightly countersunk on the reverse. The extant rivet has expanded ends and is now bent (length 4.5mm). The mount is 16mm long, 4mm wide, 1.2mm thick, and weighs 0.51g. Similar to Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 1138, which comes from a context of c. 1270-1350.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy bar mount dating to circa AD 1350-1400. It consists of a single, circular-sectioned frame loop with a rectangular bar folded around the frame. The bar is now incomplete with only one of the plates and the looped element extant. The front face of the extant bar has a raised centre. The outer edges are beaded. Two integrally cast copper-alloy rivets are in situ which would joined the two plates toghether. They are circular-sectioned.
A similar example is recorded in Read 2016: no 173 dated to the latter half of the 14th century AD.

A complete Roman copper-alloy stud mount dating to circa AD 43-140. It is rectangular in plan and D-shaped in section. Each end contains a flat, hemispherical terminal. The body is decorated with four moulded transverse grooves. Projecting from the riverse is an integrally cast rivet with hexagonal stem and wide, flat circular terminal.
It is not dissimilar to the caterpillar form (cf SF-7AAB01) though this example is a more simple bar-shaped mount.

The front face is adorned with a voided long cross. Projecting from the reverse are two circular-sectioned lugs for attachment.

An incomplete copper-alloy early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) or medieval mount perhaps from a casket or box. It is an elongated sub-rectangular strip shape. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 150-300. The extant piece is broadly oval in plan, with portions missing from both the upper and lower edges. It has a flat outer edge which a central oval convex boss, resembling a coffee bean. On the reverse at each end are two circular-sectioned rivets with flat tops.
The mount is similar to a number of vulvate mounts which are thought to have apotropaic properties, such as LANCUM-087A43.

A complete Roman copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 43-410. Rectangular in plan and broadly square-shaped in section, the mount is janiform, with two moulded human heads placed back to back. The heads are situated on a moulded rectangular collar with a flat base. Emerging from the base is an integrally cast circular sectioned rivet which would have slotted into a socket.
The piece is perhaps a furniture fitting.

An Early Medieval mount dating to circa AD 500-600. It is broadly in the form of an S-shape or stylised figure of eight. It has rounded terminals and straight edges. On the reverse are two circular sectioned lugs. The body is openwork with two circular apertures situated at either end with two broadly triangular apertures situated at either edge of the body. Two incised grooves are positioned either side of the triangular apertueres. Traces of gilding survive on the reverse.

The front face is decorated with a central recessed pellet emerging from which are four parrallel moulded lines at the cardinal points to create a floriate or radiate sun design. Two opposed circular apertures are situated at either edge of the top of the front face, indicating that the object was to be either mounted or suspended. The reverse is plain.

A complete lead or lead alloy mount of probable Medieval date. It is flat, zoomorphic in form and with moulded incised decoration. It takes the form of a bird, probably a dove, in flight, with the head facing to the left. There is a hole through the mount where the eye of the bird is, either for a rivet to fix it to whatever it was mounted on or possibly to allow a loop to pass through and be used as a pendant.
