Cast copper alloy sheet with seperate iron rivets. The sheet is sub-rectangular with cut outs from two adjacent corners leaving a tab between at one of the shorter ends; the cut outs start as curves then have steep angled sections before joining the long sides. One of these corners is bent over slightly and one of the opposite corners is lost to old damage. There are three corroded iron rivets through it, one in the centre of the tab and two parallel to the opposite short side. There are traces of cast decoration in the form of a long quatrefoil or lobed equal armed cross on the front…

Square copper alloy sheet mount with a domed front and concave back. It has a single corroded iron rivet through the centre, although slightly offcentre. It is 14.5mm long, 14.7mm wide, 4.2mm thick and weighs 1.23 grams. Such simple mounts are hard to date accurately but the use of a seperate rivet may suggest a Medieval date.

County: Suffolk

Cast copper alloy incomplete object, probably a mount. It is openwork in the form of three conjoined lozenges and broken stubs at the corners of two may suggest it was originally symetrical with four lozenges although this is not clear. The outer tip of the lozenge opposite the breaks is filled in and has the stub on an integral circular sectioned rivet on the back. It is 18.0mm long, 19.0mm wide, 1.4mm thick, 4.4mm thick including the rivet; it weighs 1.28 grams. The form and use of an integral rivet may suggest a Post Medieval date, c. 1500-1700 AD.
