An incomplete Medieval lead-alloy ampulla dating to circa AD 1350-1500. It is rectangular in plan and D-shaped in section. The front face is curved. It has a socketed mouth and straight neck. The socketed mouth is now squashed and its edge jagged and broken. Two D-shaped handle lugs project from either side. The outer face has an incised design which is now heavily abraded but likely represented a scalloped shell. The reverse face is plain.

An incomplete Medieval lead-alloy ampulla dating to circa AD 1150-1350. It's body is circular with a flattened base and a long rectangular neck. A complete Medieval lead alloy pilgrim's ampulla dated to circa AD 1150-1325. The now significantly damaged and worn it has a broadly circular boddy . It has a roughly circular body with a flattened base and long rectangular neck. Originally hollow inside, both faces have now been crushed together leaving only a slight gap in the centre. Breaks can be seen to either side of the neck where handles would once have projected. One face of the body is decorated with a six petalled flower whilst the other is adorned with a shield. An incomplete lead Medieval ampulla, dating to AD 1300-1500. It is the hollow rounded bowl of the ampulla, with the open edge squashed and blocked. One face of the bowl has an unclear cast motif. The other face is reeded, imitating the shell surface. Ampullae are known from the late 12th century and were replaced by the popularity of pilgrim badges in the early 14th century, but are thought to have continued in use to the end of the 15th century.
